| The investment
objectives of CORE IncomePlus Fund (“CORE” or the “Fund”)
are to pay monthly distributions to unitholders and to enhance long-term total
return through capital appreciation of the Fund’s investment portfolio. In
order to achieve the Fund’s investment objectives, the net proceeds of the
initial offering, together with borrowings under the loan facility, have been
invested in an actively managed portfolio of income trust securities with an
emphasis on the more established and higher quality income trusts, many of
which are included in the S&P/TSX Composite Index. In addition, the Fund
can also invest up to 30% of the portfolio in common stocks to achieve further
diversification. |
