Fund Accountant
Position:     Fund Accountant

Description:     The selected candidate will work in the Operations Group, Western Canada. Primary responsibilities include ensuring accuracy and completeness of fund valuations, preparing accurate and timely financial and tax reports, analyzing financial information and other special projects or administrative duties as required.
       
Skills:     Candidates must have a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles and preferably possess work experience in the financial industry. The position is suited for a bright, hard-working individual who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In order to be successful in this position the candidate should also possess the following:

     
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and applications
  • Very strong computer skills, specifically in Excel and Word
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, able to work independently
Education:     Preferred candidates will possess a Bachelor of Commerce degree or comparable Accounting degree and be enrolled in a designation program (CGA or CMA).
       
Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Marketing Department - Associate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide client service support to Middlefield's existing and prospective brokers/dealers
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining product presentations, and other product-related marketing material
  • Nurture and develop new advisor relationships
  • Increase advisor use of Middlefield products by actively educating them on our product and service offerings
  • Monitor competitive environment, including performance, rankings, and industry sales flow, to determine opportunities and threats; recommend actions needed to maintain and improve our competitive product positioning
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate business degree or MBA with focus/major in Marketing
  • Proficiency with Word, Power Point, Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail- oriented
