Receptionist / Administrative Assistant
Position:     Receptionist/Administrative Assistant - Calgary
Industry:     Investment Management

Position Description:     The selected candidate will work closely with Middlefield's senior management team in Calgary and function as the first point of contact for clients. Duties include answering and routing all incoming calls and faxes, performing general administrative support, including preparing documents and correspondence as well as arranging travel itineraries for professionals.
       
Desired Candidate Profile:
     
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • Undergraduate or College degree
  • Prior administration experience beneficial
  • Strong computer skills specifically in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, able to work independently
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:    
  • Provide client service support to Middlefield's existing and prospective brokers/dealers
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining product presentations, and other product-related marketing material
  • Nurture and develop new advisor relationships
  • Increase advisor use of Middlefield products by actively educating them on our product and service offerings
  • Monitor competitive environment, including performance, rankings, and industry sales flow, to determine opportunities and threats; recommend actions needed to maintain and improve our competitive product positioning
Requirements:    
  • Undergraduate business degree or MBA with focus/major in Marketing
  • Proficiency with Word, Power Point, Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail- oriented
