IT Technical Support Specialist
       
Position:     IT Technical Support Specialist
       
Position Description:
     
  • Provide user support in a timely fashion.
  • Maintenance and troubleshoot computer hardware, printers and other peripherals.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot software issues.
  • Conduct diagnosing and performance tuning of workstations on an ongoing basis.
  • Install PC software based applications and implement upgrades and patches.
  • Maintain tape backups of servers and critical workstations.
  • Participate in troubleshooting Microsoft network issues.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all computer equipment, parts and computer supplies.
  • Purchase computer supplies and evaluates other suppliers for competitive prices.
  • Responsible for maintaining all related documentation up to date and record keeping of all ongoing technical issues.
  • Various other duties as defined by the IT Supervisor.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
     
  • Must have an understanding and working knowledge of PC based equipment.
  • Must have an understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, and MS-DOS
  • Must have an understanding and working knowledge of common PC based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have an understanding and working knowledge of printers and other networking devices
  • Be willing to learn and keep up with the latest technologies, including object oriented programming
  • Education- a degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering
  • Salary commensurate with experience
 
Senior Accountant
Position Description:
      We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant with a CPA designation, or equivalent, with a minimum of five years' experience. Compensation is $100,000+. The position is with a company involved in the securities industry. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Involvement in regulatory reporting to securities commissions and/or the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada would be an asset. The individual will be responsible for accounting and reporting, including the preparation of year-end audited statements and tax returns, as well as for providing administrative and regulatory compliance support. It is expected that this position will lead to a CFO position within a few years.
 
Associate, Sales & Marketing
Position:     Associate, Sales & Marketing
Timing:     Immediate
       
Position Description:
     
  • Working closely with the sales and marketing team to develop servicing strategies in order to effectively support regional and national sales efforts.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling of meetings, seminars, presentations and client events.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking industry practices; participating in professional societies, maintaining financial education.
  • Review and suggest updates to marketing materials, changes / modifications to website content and design.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
     
  • Recent marketing graduate with 2-3 years of related experience
  • Undergraduate marketing degree, with focus / major in Marketing
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Knowledge of the capital markets including the mutual fund industry and the investment advisor community is beneficial
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Successful completion of industry courses CSC/CPH (or willingness to work towards registration)
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
  • Golfer preferred as several tournaments hosted by the company
  • Strong self-starter/entrepreneurial approach
  • Travel required
