Position
Description: The selected candidate
will work closely with the senior members of Middlefield's corporate
development team. Primary responsibilities include assisting in the development
of new fund concepts and financial product structures, creating and maintaining
financial models, monitoring the competitive landscape and related
administrative tasks.
Experience/Skills: Candidates must have a solid understanding of finance and
accounting principles and have one to three years experience in the financial
industry. The position is suited for a bright, hard-working individual who
enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In order to be successful
in this position the candidate should also possess the following:
- Strong communication skills - verbal
and written
- Well developed accounting and
financial modeling skills
- Very strong computer skills,
specifically in the use of Excel (i.e. Macros, advanced functions, etc.), Word
and Powerpoint
- The ability to manage multiple tasks
and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, organized,
able to work independently
Education:
Preference will be given to candidates
with a CFA, MBA or CA. Consideration will also be given to candidates with an
undergraduate degree in business and/or engineering and relevant work
experience. |
