Public Offering
Toronto, May 6, 2009 - Middlefield Group, on behalf of
the Groppe-Middlefield Energy Fund (the "Groppe Fund" or the "Fund"), is
pleased to announce that it has filed a preliminary prospectus in relation to
the initial public offering of Units at a price of $12.00 per Unit. It is
expected that the Fund will pay monthly distributions over the next 12 months
amounting to $0.60/Unit, which represents an annualized yield of 5% on the
