Middlefield Bancorp Limited Announces Mailing of Take-Over Circular To Shareholders of 2M Energy Corp.

Middlefield Bancorp Limited ("MBN") announces that it has mailed its take-over offer and circular to shareholders of 2M Energy Corp. ("2M") pursuant to its previously announced intention to make a take-over bid for all of the outstanding common shares of 2M not currently owned by it.

The take-over bid is subject to all usual regulatory approvals.

MBN trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "MBN".
