Middlefield Capital Corporation ("MCC") is the advisor for the Trust's portfolio. MCC and its affiliates provide a variety of financial services including investment management, corporate finance, merchant banking, mergers and acquisitions, advisory and security placement services. MCC has developed a special expertise in the natural resource, real estate and small capitalization corporate sectors.


		W. Garth Jestley is a Director of the Middlefield Group and President of MCC. Prior to joining Middlefield in 1985, he was a Vice-President of Bank of Montreal and head of an international finance unit responsible for non-recourse lending primarily in the natural resource sector and, prior to that, was a Vice-President in the Corporate Banking division of Citibank N.A. Mr. Jestley is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

		Dean C. Orrico is Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of Middlefield Capital Corporation. Prior to joining Middlefield in 1996, he was an account manager with The Toronto-Dominion Bank responsible for the borrowing activities of a portfolio of commercial accounts.
